I received this book as a gift and read it early on. From the opening event to the way we're dropped into the action, this book didn't babysit, it got you invested in the characters and built up a steady beat. This was a one sitting book (okay, two sittings. I had to go to work). I didn't want to put it down. A lot has been said about the nature of a world with super heroes but this book explores it, delves into it, and ultimately delights you with it. I can't recommend this book enough. Give it a chance. I'm going to be keeping an eye out for this author. Assuming he stays with genre work.Product details

I had to come back and edit my review of this book, as I am now reading it for the third time! Yes, it's that good! Highly, highly recommended! I grew up on comic books and superheroes and this is one of the freshest and most original takes on the genre I have come across. A believable premise, great characters and an amazing ability of the author to keep you following through multiple timelines, characters and viewpoints with no confusions. Brilliant work. Can't wait for a sequel, or another original work by this author.
